Artistic background
Inspired by ancient coins and hidden treasures, I have designed the Mystic Island Collection to reinterpret the charm and mystique of antiquity. The central design element is an antique coin that embodies the brand identity of Thomas Sabo. Each piece reflects a journey through time, capturing the essence of legendary artefacts, while simultaneously incorporating modern accents that highlight the timeless beauty and relevance of ancient elements in today’s world.
About the design process
Each piece is carefully crafted and combines traditional goldsmithing techniques with modern design elements and production techniques. I start by sketching with pencil, paper, PS and AI. Then I create technical drawings on the basis of which the first prototypes are made. These are refined until the design is perfect.
The pendant
The showpiece of the Mystic Island Collection is a pendant featuring a detailed coin design with a black onyx inlay and special stone settings on the backside. This pendant showcases iconic symbols, such as the snake, and artfully highlights the raised TS logo. The elaborate 360-degree rotating design allows the pendant to be worn both ways, offering versatility and a unique connection to ancient legends.

The beginning
In December 2019, I had the honour of joining the Thomas Sabo design team as a Jewelry Designer. It was an incredibly intense creative journey, and we have created many extraordinary collections together, such as the Ocean Vibes Collection.
The journey
Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, I played a pivotal role in developing the Ocean Vibes collection. My deep understanding of marine aesthetics and trend analysis culminated in designs that encapsulate the ocean's essence.

As a freelance jewelry designer and goldsmith, I've had the pleasure of consulting, designing, and crafting unique pieces for private clients, as well as creating premium collections for various jewelry companies. My tenure as Head of Jewelry Design allowed me to lead innovative projects, introduce new design approaches, and manage talented teams of artisans.
